Dr Amy Bailey is an Specialist Cardiologist with special clinical interests in interventional cardiology and cardiac disease in women. Dr Amy Bailey graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011, where she later commenced her general medical training at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle as a registrar. This led her to complete advanced cardiology training at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Birtinya.

During her physician training, Amy also completed a Master of Medical Statistics through the University of Newcastle in 2018. This complemented Dr Bailey’s numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles that have not only been published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Heart and Lung Circulation and Congenital Heart Disease Journals, but also honourably presented at international cardiology conferences.

Amy later relocated to Brisbane, conducting her interventional fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital with special emphasis on diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous intervention.

In 2020, Amy then became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Her passion for cardiology saw her complete a second fellowship in Complex Coronary Intervention at St George’s University Hospital in London.
