Post-op support

On the ward, our orthopaedic physiotherapists provide early involvement to assist patients regain movement, strength and independence following injury or surgery.

Our physiotherapists work closely with our orthopaedic specialists, following specific protocols of movement and exercise to help patients achieve their goals. Support may include exercises, prescription of walking aids, gait re-education, education on slings and braces and advice on do’s and don’ts.

As well as inpatient rehabilitation, Ramsay Connect offers Rehabilitation At Home options. The Ramsay Connect team works closely with Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital to support the transition from hospital to home, providing seamless and integrated quality healthcare in the home and community setting.

Our expert team, including discharge planners, works with patients to establish a clear, customised pathway, catered to each patient’s personal needs and circumstances. Patients can expect to be well-informed about any aids and support at home, so you can get back to the life you love.
