Dr Ben McArdle is a locally trained Specialist Otolaryngologist based here on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr McArdle was born and raised in South East Queensland and studied Medicine at the University of Queensland.
He obtained over 18 months of tertiary paediatric ENT medical and surgical experience at both Westmead Children’s Hospital and The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Dr McArdle was privileged to undertake rhinology, functional endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgical training during his time at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
After obtaining his specialist qualification in Australia, Dr McArdle embarked on 12 months of further study and experience in advanced rhinology (sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery), at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada.
Dr McArdle works in both the public and private sector, based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), Nambour Selangor Private Hospital, and the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH). He is involved in several charities, local health matters as well as outreach missions to remote communities in Australia and throughout the Pacific region through the Federal Governments Pacific Island Project (AUSAID).
