Dr David is an internationally trained Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based patient-centred care.
He completed his medical studies and specialist gastroenterology training at the prestigious Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, India, where he worked for more than 15 years. He subsequently moved to Auckland to gain further exposure to international gastroenterology practice and completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Auckland City Hospital.
He then undertook an interventional endoscopy fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, Australia, gaining further experience in advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic ultrasound, Barrett’s surveillance, and ERCP. During this period, he completed specialist college assessments and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Having worked across multiple health systems, Dr David brings extensive experience in managing a wide range of gastroenterological conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome, reflux disease, coeliac disease, pancreaticobiliary disorders, and colorectal cancer screening.
He currently holds a role as a Senior Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Outside of medicine, Dr David enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing tennis and watching cricket.
