Dr. Harry Gasper is dedicated to cancer care, focusing on the individual needs of patients and their families. He integrates the latest advances in oncology with an understanding of the impact of cancer on lives. Graduating from King’s College London in 2011 with a degree in medicine and a BSc in Physiology, he moved to Australia in 2013. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019, specialising in Oncology.
Dr. Gasper has served as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, contributing to award-winning research on COVID-19’s impact on cancer care. He has published extensively and led clinical trials and research projects. Before joining Coastal Cancer Care, he was the Clinical Director of Medical Oncology at Toowoomba Hospital, pioneering clinical trials and tele-oncology in the Darling Downs Region. He has expertise in various cancers, with a focus on gastro-intestinal, hepato-biliary, and CNS cancers.
He remains committed to improving patient outcomes through a holistic approach, actively participating in statewide survivorship networks, and serving on the executive committee of the Queensland Consortium for Cancer Survivorship and the board of Hope Horizons Cancer Wellness Centre. In 2024, he joined the organizing committee for the COSA Annual Scientific Meeting.
Harry now lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife and their two children to fulfill a long-held dream of living close to family in the region.
