Dr Hamish Gray is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on the lower limb surgery including arthroplasty (joint replacement), arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and revision surgery.
Dr Gray graduated from Otago University in 2000. He completed his general orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2010. He then furthered his expertise in the lower limb by doing a number of fellowships.
- 2010 - Computer Navigated Arthroplasty Fellowship in Brisbane
- 2011 – Complex Arthroplasty Fellowship including revision, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Developmental Dysplasia and lower limb reconstruction at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
- 2012 Paediatric Orthopaedics, Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne
Since returning to Queensland in 2012, Dr Gray has worked for Queensland Health holding Director, Deputy Director and Acting Director roles. He has worked on the Sunshine Coast since 2014 and remains committed to serve both public and private patients.
Dr Gray holds an academic appointment as the Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics at Griffith University, teaching our local Sunshine Coast medical students. He continues teaching and mentoring future orthopaedic surgeons and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
