Dr Pamela Caleo is a Specialist General Surgeon with an interest in general surgical and benign colorectal conditions. She is passionate about the health and care of the Sunshine Coast community.
Born, raised and educated in North Queensland Dr Caleo gained her medical degree through James Cook University graduating in 2006.
Committed to having an extensive knowledge base she rotated through many subspecialty areas as a junior doctor with an ultimate focus on the surgical disciplines. Her enthusiasm for surgery has led her to train in the field of General Surgery.
During her career Dr Caleo has trained throughout Queensland and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019. Dr Caleo undertook additional training with an international Fellowship in colorectal surgery with the Waikato District Health Board in New Zealand.
Since returning to Australia in 2020 Dr Caleo has been practicing on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Caleo is on the Younger Fellow Advisory Committee, an active member of General Surgeons Australia and maintains a strong interest in medical education.
Outside of work Dr Caleo enjoys spending time in the garden with her dogs.
