Dr Hari Haran is a Specialist General Physician with a particular interest in acute care medicine. He graduated from King’s College London with distinction in 2012 having additionally completed an intercalated BSc in Physiology. He undertook his early training in London, at Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2015 and held positions as a senior registrar in Geriatrics and General Medicine before permanently emigrating to Australia in 2020. He continued to hone his skills at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023.
He is passionate about providing high quality, evidence-based care which is patient focussed. He is a Senior Lecturer with Griffith University and a member of the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. His academic work has led to publication of manuscripts and presentations at international conferences, and has concurrently improved patient care.
