Dr Michelle Morris, Medical Oncologist, graduated from the University of Queensland in 1994 and underwent training in Medical Oncology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. She also completed further studies to obtain a Masters in Public Health from the University of Queensland.
Dr Morris worked as a Medical Oncologist for Cancer Research UK in Leeds, before returning to Australia in 2005 to take up a consultant position at Nambour General Hospital. Since then, she has consulted at Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital and currently holds a Staff Specialist position at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. She has worked in private practice on the Sunshine Coast since 2007, and relocated her practice to Birtinya in 2014.
Dr Morris has experience in treating a broad range of solid tumour malignancies, with areas of interest including breast cancer, melanoma, gynaecological and urological malignancies. She has been active in improving cancer clinical trial access for both public and private patients on the Sunshine Coast and promoting quality, multidisciplinary care.
Dr Morris consults at both Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH) and Noosa Hospital.
