Dr Alessandra Francesconi completed her training in Medical Oncology in Brazil in early 2006. She worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at Royal Brisbane Hospital for three years and has fully qualified as a Medical Oncologist (FRACP) for the second time. Dr Francesconi gained a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Research - Oncology, through the University of Melbourne.
Dr Francesconi is currently a Medical Oncologist consultant at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Coastal Cancer Care at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. She has special interests in Gastrointestinal and Brain cancers and pays special attention to tailoring a relationship based on her patients’ individual needs.
Dr Francesconi is also committed to delivering a high standard of treatment to her patients, utilising up-to-date advances in Oncology practice. She participates actively in national and international conferences, multidisciplinary tumour team meetings and cancer clinical trials.
