Dr Jeannine McManus is a Queensland trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon. After completing medical school at the University of Queensland, Dr McManus went on to complete her medical residency at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals.
Following a period of general surgical training, Dr McManus commenced her training in the field of plastic surgery throughout Queensland’s public hospital system. Her training focused extensively on skin cancer resection and reconstruction, lower limb trauma reconstruction, reconstruction after head and neck cancer as well as breast surgery. During her training time she was awarded The Mervyn Neely Memorial Award for Excellence in Surgical Teaching through the University Qld Medical School. She has also completed a Masters of Public Health through the University of Queensland and a Masters of Surgery through the University of Sydney.
Having moved to the Sunshine Coast with her young family, Dr McManus accepted a position as a consultant plastic surgeon at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), where her work benefits not only patient care but also teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons. She is the supervisor of training for the Plastic Surgery unit at SCUH.
Dr McManus has a natural rapport with her patients. She is compassionate and caring and takes the time to work together with her patients to achieve their best outcomes.
Dr McManus is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
She consults privately on the Sunshine Coast through Plastic Surgery Queensland - Sunshine Coast and operates at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.
